Graduation Project - Design Thinking

This project is born from the admiration and personal taste by the designer Gabrielle Chanel. I sought to understand the essence of Gabrielle and the Chanel brand from the life and work of the artist. In addition, I wanted to understand the construction of women that Chanel proposed and the woman who uses and lives the brand, both now and in the twentieth century, in order to create a set of products that connect the concepts developed throughout the research, and belong to the luxury industry, specifically to the category of authentic luxury.

How Do I Begin My Research?

I approach projects by researching relevant information and organizing relevant timelines, which will help me gather the most important facts. I start a project by creating a hypothesis. The facts that I gather will serve as supporting evidence for my original hypothesis. This will help me create my own concepts and ideas for a project or an assignment.

How Do I Create My Concepts?

I am able to define the main concepts that will sustain my hypothesis by collecting the most important information throughout my research. I made different moodboards by comparing and superimposing different layers of images that I have managed to define. Also, I was able to highlight sub-concepts that will help me define the narratives. This method demonstrates how my concepts are composed.

How Do I Do a Product Proposal?

In order to define the guidelines and limitations of the project, I will create a moodboard for each concept that relates all of the relevant findings that I have researched. This strategy is beneficial because it will help me find possible project design opportunities. It guides and influences my creativity for sketching and defining the details and decisions taken when incorporating a project proposal.
